Each year's film collection highlights contemporary Swedish feature films that have attracted attention both in Sweden and at major international film festivals. With its mix of themes and genres, the Swedish film selection aims to provide an experience of Swedish film to a wide and varied global audience.
Who can use the Swedish film selection? The film selection is only made available for Swedish embassies and consulates. If you're not a foreign mission and wish to show a Swedish film outside of Sweden, please contact your local Swedish foreign mission.
How to use the Swedish film selection The Swedish film selection is for non-profit cultural screenings and includes feature films and documentaries.
Swedish foreign missions are encouraged to initiate specific, tailor-made film events in their region together with local partners. Project managers from the Swedish Institute are available to discuss ideas, possibilities, and requirements for a successful screening.
How to create film events
All enquiries regarding other films than the ones offered in the Swedish film selection should be referred to the International Department of the Swedish Film Institute .
How to apply Here on Sharing Sweden, you can view film trailers and get information about the films. To preview full length films, get information about local rights, and access other protected content, you need to create an application, which you can then review and complete at a later date.
